A preschool option for working families

Introduction

Welcome to Discoveries Preschool, an affordable in-home preschool located in northern Brooklyn Park. Discoveries enrolls children ages 2.5-5 years. While attending, your child will learn the skills needed for entering kindergarten in a fun, supportive environment. We are like no other preschool around. Check us out, you won't be disappointed.

  Open school year only

                       (Late August - Early June)

                                    7:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

Philosophy

A child's early years should be about play. I also believe preparing children for kindergarten gives them the start they need for being successful through all their school years. At Discoveries, I plan everything with these things in mind. I have created a curriculum that makes kids excited. I believe kids pick up and retain more information when having fun. It is not uncommon to hear us singing silly songs about the letter we are learning, swatting flies programmed with numbers, or practicing writing our letters in snow (shaving cream). The children are immersed in learning and they don't even know it. And of course, our daily routine provides children with ample free choice time.
